Emilee receives a conservation grant
Emilee received a competitive conservation grant from the International Primatological Society for her work entitled "Validation of a novel field-friendly stress checker to measure fecal glucocorticoid metabolites in northern white-cheeked gibbons (Nomascus leucogenys)".
Her work, to be conducted at Kyoto University, will test a portable, rapid test, to measure stress levels from wild gibbons, and it will have major implications on reintroduction projects due to the ability to monitor these critically endangered primates non-invasively.
Congratulations, Emilee!
